Yeah, the title can be a pun. But in this case, it isn't. It really is about the wooded area behind Zeke's house that has been purchased for development and Zeke's last ditch effort to save it from bulldozers. I'm not a fan of the title and I'm not a fan of the sort of 'leering' face of the model on the cover. But I AM a fan of the story. It's pretty short, but it packs in so much. There is a TON of humor, which is a big draw for me. I laughed out loud many times while reading this short tale. Gideon and Zeke make insta-love look believable and with their humor they were absolutely adorable. You'll be doing yourself a favor of you snap up this little gem and settle in and enjoy!Product details

What a great read! I always love to find these little gems... not long reads... not much angst just short and sweet. Except this one had me laughing out loud. I highly recommend this book!
I loved Zeke and Gideon's hot chemistry and they're great together. Ms Elsborg is an awesome writer, her books are always filled with emotions of the characters she writes about. Highly recommend this book cause the hotness are of the charts and funny too.
Zeke and his community are fighting to stop a housing development using any means to do so...right down to the last minutes to save Dingle Wood being bulldozed down. At a meeting his gaze meets an enemy on the podium, both looking at each other. But that piece of hotness follows him home.
Wow Gideon is a straight talker right to the point and not a vampire as Zeke thinks lol. When they kiss the house has gone up in degrees. Damm hot.. I could definitely write more but I don't want to give too much away, but it does get a lot hotter. What's Gideon's role in this? You gotta read this. (less)
It's no secret that I'm a huge BE fan or that I'm one of the lucky people who get to beta her tales. Well this one is yet another testament to her talent and imagination, as I happen to know that she knocked this up from out of nowhere and got it ready for publication in around about 2 weeks, in between being superwoman/cook/wife/gran/dog-gran and too many other things to list.
It's a short, sexy, sweet tale (yes, I am alliterating, BE-style!), that starts pretty much with a bang, the sexy kind, and which has an actual storyline to it that's both believable and stands up on its own without the sexy sex. These two guys, on the face of it, are chalk and cheese, and are certainly on opposing sides of the fence, apart from in one particular area where they...communicate perfectly. Much of that communication is non-verbal and not quite what'd you'd expect from a small village in middle-ish England, but that's part of the beauty of BE's writing - I can count on a good tale, always, but I don't have a clue what she'll hit me with.
Despite this being a short tale, it packs a punch and it's got a very decent, non-preachy message in its midst, and it educated me a bit more than I'd expected about British flora - you'll have to read it and see.
This book did not work for me. The premise was weak and the MCs relationship was not believable. Although I love this author, this book didn't speak to me the way that I hoped.
A wonderful story of unlikely partners. This short story grabs you at the beginning and you hold on ! It has the feel of a longer story, and we get defined characters we like, and a situation that is important. It's fun, serious, sexy, and exciting. You will not be disappointed !
